CSI Theatre Camp

Theatre Camp: July 6 - 10, 2015
Ages: 10 - 18
Hey, kids, want to go to the one summer camp where you'll learn how to use stage makeup to give yourself (or somebody else) bruises, gashes, and old man wrinkles? Do you want to learn how to swing a sword, take a fake punch, and fall without getting hurt? How about spending your mornings building and decorating an entire room while learning how to speak like an Englishman or a Southern Belle in the afternoon? All of this and more is available in the week-long adventure that is CSI Theatre Camp!

This two-day afternoon camp, a companion to the regular CSI Theatre Camp, is designed to introduce younger students to the world of theatre. No experience required!

CSI/IDAA Summer Dance Camp, held on the beautiful College of Southern Idaho campus, is for intermediate- to advanced-level dancers who are twelve or older and who want a challenging and rewarding summer camp experience in dance.

Ages: 9 - 11
This special day camp is designed to introduce younger students (ages 9 through 11) to the concept of an intensive workshop. No dancing experienced required! The camp features the same instructors as the regular camp -a guest faculty from around the United States, bringing a wealth of talent and knowledge to assure each student achieves their highest potential.

Camp Masterpiece

Camp Masterpice 2015

Camp Masterpiece is the College of Southern Idaho's Summer Art Camp. Young artists discover a world of inspiration and creativity! Our age-appropriate classes are designed to encourage artistic expression and imagination while teaching solid art fundamentals. This year, Camp Masterpiece will be split into three age groups. Each group will have their own unique set of age specific activities and camp director.

Nursing School for Kids

Nursing School 2015

Nursing School for Kids - ages 9 to 11

Begin your training in a real CSI medical lab while learning from an expert in the medical profession. Throughout this course, not only will you dress the part, and be issued a picture ID, but you will learn about basic patient care, taking and charting vital signs, communicating with patients, and the proper way to transport patients in wheel chairs. On the last day of class, you will practice what you have learned when you visit a senior center for a little "clinical" day.



Kids Plyometrics and Agility Training

Kids Plyometrics and Agility Training - ages 10 to 17

Don't lose your edge over the summer, develop the skills and stamina to become a better athlete; this conditioning program will focus on speed, strength, and explosiveness to enhance your athletic abilities.



Digital Photography Camp

Budding photographers will learn about their camera's setting as well as basic photography fundamentals: composition, light, aperture, and more. Explore the campus on photography missions, and then come back to the lab to experiment with Photoshop, printing and simple image enhancement. Students should bring their own camera, manual (if you have it), a flash drive, and USB cord.

Kitchen Academy

Kids Kitchen 2015

Kitchen Academy is the College of Southern Idaho's series of cooking camps for kids. Learn to cook while whipping up a healthy batch of fun with members of the CSI Culinary Arts Department; each camp will focus on mastering a different type of cuisine and set of techniques. Parents will be invited to a special tasting showcase at the end of each week. Participants can enroll in just one camp or all three ($119 for the first camp - $99 for each additional camp, please call CSI Community Education at 732-6442 to get the discounted rate).

Lego Robotics Camp

CSI Lego Robotics Camp

Lego Robotics Camp - ages 9 to 14
Dates: June 30th - July 2nd
Time: Afternoons from 12:30 to 4pm
Camp Director: Trachelle Fullmer + Mentors from Animosus FTC Robotics Team
Cost: $100 (includes t-shirt and snacks)

Work in teams to design, build, and program a LEGO Mindstorms NXT© robot. Learn to apply science, technology, engineering, and math while learning real-world problem solving skills and gracious sportsmanship from the valley's own award winning Animosus FTC Robotics Team. Parents will be invited to an end of camp competition on Thursday afternoon.



French Immersion Camp

Join in CSI's interactive Minecraft camp experience. Explore, build, and create amazing worlds, solve problems, and complete quests while collaborating with other players, the Mod Master, and game counselors.

Come learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math influence all aspects of our world: past, present, and future. Research fun topics, test hypotheses, and conduct cool experiments; all while having a lot of fun!
