About the Program

CSI MusicFest provides an enriching environment for students to grow musically! This week-long summer camp on the beautiful College of Southern Idaho campus offers opportunities for youth to be immersed in music making. Focused study is available in strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, jazz, and voice.

CSI MusicFest promises to be an unforgettable experience where students build life-long friendships and connect through music!

Registration & Fees

To register click the Register button below, call 208-732-6442 or come in person to the Fine Arts Building Community Education Office. The after hours drop box is available until 7 p.m. during the Fall & Spring Semesters in the Fine Arts Building located outisde of the Community Education Office.

Absolutely NO registrations will be accepted after the deadline.
  • Tuition: $249 if paid in full by May 15; $299 if paid after May 15. Fee must be paid in full by May 29.
  • Camp Photo: $10 (There will be an option between professional and silly poses)
  • Half-Hour Private Lessons: $20 each (Max of 4 total & only 2 per category allowed)

Dates: June 10 - 14, 2024

Location: CSI Twin Falls Campus, Fine Arts Building

Check-In: 8 - 9 a.m. Monday Only

Camp Time: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with Gala Concerts on Friday evening. Times TBD.

Schedule:

  • 9 - 10:15 a.m. Major Ensembles
  • 10:15 - 11:15 a.m. Theory/History/Listening Lab
  • 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. LUNCH (Parents/caregivers responsible for sack lunch daily. Campers will not be allowed to leave campus for the lunch break)
  • 12:15 - 1 p.m. Convocation & Showcase Recitals
  • 1 - 2:30 p.m. Major Ensembles
  • 2:30 - 2:50 a.m. SNACK
  • 2:50 - 3:45 p.m. Master class
  • 3:45 - 5 p.m. Electives

Private Lessons: Taught after 5 p.m. and at select breaks.

The above schedule includes 6.5 hours of hands-on instruction intended to engage students thoroughly from beginning to end. Exceptional faculty from across the state work closely with you in small and large ensemble settings, as well as in daily master classes and sectionals. Listening labs brings theory and history of music to life!

Each afternoon, students have the chance to shine alongside faculty mentors at the camp's performance spotlight. Private lessons and a range of elective areas are available to round out the camp experience. The week's learning culminates with student recitals, showcases, and mainstage concerts for friends, family, and community to enjoy.

Students must already play the instrument declared as their major. We must have a minimum of 5 students to hold a class, including majors.

Students may choose ONE major of study.

  • Strings
  • Vocal/Choral
  • Band
  • Jazz
  • Piano (must have a minimum of 2 years lessons and currently be studying with a private teacher)

Electives:

  • Jazz Improv
  • Pep Band
  • Musical Theatre
  • Collaboration Coaching (Solo/Ensemble/Accompanist)
